Vanakam and blessed day  to all precious Atma,

Deepavali is a very important occasion for Hindus. It is a grand celebration all around the world. It is a day of solidarity among Hindus and others. It is a day to unity together with differences of belief culture, creed , caste and environment. It is a day of light over darkness,  , wisdom over ignorance and  victory over failure.

3 important things that we need to do .
1. Deepavali Eve Night - Ancestor worship
Tonight, serve cooked vegetarian food for our ancestor with untasted cookies, biscuits and the clothes you bought for your family.  Light up a ghee light and make sure you serve the food with water. Seek their blessings and forgive and forget mentally. It is a time to reconcile with our ancestors and also with our grandparents, parents all our family members, relatives, friends, acquaintances and business associates.

2. Early morning have your oil bath.
Benefits of Oil Bath
In South India people have a traditional health habit of taking oil bath to improve and maintain good health. It was believed by the people of previous times that the oil penetrates into the roots of hair and adds cold to the body. We know in the modern era that isn't possible however in our hot climate this has the benefit of giving the skin which is our largest organ a very effective source of moisture and nourishment. This helps us stay healthy and helps us look and feel younger which is something we all want!
Commonly two varieties of oils such as coconut and gingle(sessame) oils are used in this treatment. But it is experienced by the people that coconut oil is more desirable than the other one. In some places coconut oil is mixed with broken spices like pepper and garlic before boiling it to get the additional properties of spices. However, the plain coconut oil is used in the most parts of the country. About 25 ml of coconut oil is taken in a small amber colored or white colored bottle. Strictly avoid taking oil in plastic bottles just before the application as they might affect the medicinal properties of coconut oil. A small quantity of oil is applied on the top of the head and it is left for a few minutes. Mostly warm water is preferred by the people to take oil bath. A green colored herbal powder ( soap nut powder ) and shikkakai powder are used to rinse on the head to remove the applied oil thoroughly. Toilet soaps are avoided in oil bath to have good result. Weekly once oil bath is followed by the people to have nice health. Fridays are selected by ladies to take oil bath and Saturdays for men.
Ayurveda suggests to have oil bath every day because the oil bath dissolves the toxins and flushes them to center of the body so that they can be eliminated by the kidneys.
Method of taking oil bath

The traditional method of taking oil bath is applying  sesame oil (gingelly oil ) or coconut oil all over the body from head to toe using a a gentle massage .Leave it for half an hour and wash off with hot water and use shikkakai for your hair. The sesame oil is used to make your skin more soft and lustrous and the coconut oil is a good choice for clarifying your skin

For those who are too busy to enjoy an oil bath can enjoy it by putting a few drops of oil in a mug and splashing it all over the body, after the bath patting dry with the towel ,gives almost the same result as it immediately spreads a thin layer of oil evenly on the body
Benefits of taking oil bath
1. It clears oily substances from the skin of total body and facilitate the same to transfer heat from its inside to outside.

2. By giving healthy cold to our body we can have good appetite and feeling of taste.

3. Healthy cold prevailing in our body prevents many diseases like jaundice, cancer and other viral diseases.

4. We can get healthy, deep sleep and good concentration in our daily activities.

5. Side effects of severe diet control can be cleared by this good healthy habit.

6. Skin and hair health can be maintained as it removes surface tension on the body.

7. It is very economical and also required once in a week.

Below is a very important stotra sung by Sri Adi Sankara with a story on how he eradicate poverty.

Adi Shankaracharya's Kanakadhara Stotra comprised of 21 mellifluous hymns on Goddess Lakshmi. This KanakDhara stotra is chanted in order to beget the blessings of Goddess Mahalakshmi (to beget wealth, fortunes, and to be be granted boons as well as to alleviate misfortunes, suffering, and poverty. The Kanakadhara Stotra is a powerful Sanskrit hymn dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi, the Hindu Goddess of prosperity (both material and spiritual), wealth, fertility, good fortune, and courage.

Kanakadhara Stotram :

The beautiful story of poor womens devotion -

Adi Sankaracharya was born in kaladi in 8th century when Hinduism had few problems. The Shiva worshippers , vishnu worshippers, ganesha worshippers , has misunderstandings . It is Sankaracharya who organized Hinduism and helped in its upliftment.

Once Sankaracharya was going to few houses to take bhiksha. He came across a hut and asked for bhiksha. ( food ). The women inside the house was embarrassed as a saint has come to her house for food but she is so poor that nothing was available in her house. She searched all the places n finally found a old Amla fruit (Emblic myrobalan) ( nelli kani in tamil ). The poor women was feeling shy to give only this little amla fruit to Sankaya but she has immense devotion and dont want to send the saint who came to her house empty handed. She offered the amla fruit in the bowl of Lord Sankaracharya.

Birth of Kanakadhara stotram :

Sankaracharya realized the womens devotion irrespective of being poor. He immediately started singing twenty one slokas praising Goddess Mahalakshmi , praying her to bless the poor women by driving her poverty and grant her riches.

As you sow, So you reap :

Mahalakshmi replied that the lady has not done any good deeds ( helping others in charity ) in her previous birth. so she doesn't deserve riches and is destined to suffer in poverty. Adi sankaraya accepted it but said though the poor lady din't do any good deeds in previous birth, in this birth, she has such a kind heart that irrespective of being poor, she gave this little amla fruit to him and this good deed alone is enough to bless her with all prosperity.

Goddess Mahalakshmi's grace :

Listening to Sankaracharya's beautiful stotra and his arguement that the poor women must be blessed for her good deed in this birth ( offering of little amla fruit ), Mahalakshmi was moved. Friends, here comes the greatness of this Goddess. She really is for devotion and purity of heart. If we always involve in good deeds , always chanting Gods name, we will surely be blessed by Mahalakshmi.

As Sanakaracharya was singing Kanagadhara stotram, Mahalakshmi showered Golden amla fruit like rain infront of the poor womens hut. Imagine, rain of golden fruit showering from sky . How beautiful is this story friends . How beautiful is the devotion of the poor lady and how great is the saint Adi Sankaraya who sang in praise of Mahalakshmi and beyond all this How graceful is this Goddess Mahalakshmi.

Adi Sankaya has sung this "Kanakadhara stotra" for welfare of everyone who is suffering their past karma and suffering in poverty.

Growing up in a spiritual environment, under the strict guidance of his Guru and surrounded by mahatmas and devotees, Guru Moti Lal ji has been instrumental in providing solutions to many devotees in the world. He is a spiritual scientist and an evolved spiritual guide rejuvenating the knowledge of mantras and stotras to help people live problem free life and getting abundance

Vanakam and blissful day to all precious Atma

Navarathri celebration or festival is a very important festival as it conveys some very important messages for mankind.

It is celebrated for 10 days .

Who is the Goddess(Amman)? Goddess is both SHE - feminine energy and IT -the energy of the universe.
She in the sense of having a form , alive, real and a being who can interact with the physical world. This is the form that we know from our lives and we think of when we pray. But the It in the sense of consciousness or the energy that makes the universe and everything in it go.

Goddess in Sanskrit means Chit or Shakti. From Chit which is Super-Normal Consciousness or Super-consciousness comes Chitta which means the human mind.

She knows everything, be at everywhere , anywhere and at anytime.

She resides within us . She gives us miraculous power. Only through the Super Conscious Mind can you bypass your negative mind and Ambal is the energy that opens that part of our mind.

The word SHREEM is your gateway way to awaken the highest consciousness within mankind.

Goddess is the power of  creation . She is the Maha Maya - creating the matter. She gives you the Siddhi powers, the special tool to bring you the highest consciousness on this special day

The 9 nights are very powerful as the power or the energy of Goddess is available abundantly especially  throughout the  night.

In general , we transform ourselves from the instinctive level ( Durga aspect ) - Tamasic Gunas, to Intellect/Motherly nature level ( Letchumi aspect) - Rajasic Gunas to Intuitive/Wise  level ( Saraswathi aspect ).- Sattvic Gunas.  On the level of worlds, we transform our self from outer world - physical world to inner world- subtle world to spiritual world - Divine world.

The first three days for Durga , second 3 days for Letchumi and last 3 days is for Saraswathi. On the tenth day is our pinnacle level of consciousness which is Vijaya Dasami.

The moola mantra for Durga is "Om Dhum Dhurgayai Namaha". Chant 1008 times .

Gayathri mantra is
"Katyayanaya Vidmahe Kanya Kumari Dhimahi Thanno Durgi Prachodayath"

From today for next 10 days we will be sharing the 10 feminine forms and powers of Goddess to all of you .

Day 1 : Kali
Goddess Kali, the female form of Kala (time). She is the dominating energy that pervades every moment of our lives. Kali is the symbol of eternal time, presiding over all stages of life. She rules our inner consciousness and demolishes the challenges and limitations we face in our lives. Kali controls the effects of planet Saturn.
