Puratassi month is very auspicious month for Lord Vishnu or Sri Srinivasa Perumal. Very auspicious day in this month is Puratassi Sani. 1 October , 2016 is the 3rd week Puratassi Sani and it is very special at the Sri Srinivasa Perumal Devasthanam , Lot no 818, Jalan Bandar 4, Pusat Bandar Puchong, Selangor Darul Ehsan. It is the only temple in Malaysia where devotees are able to get the blessings Of Lord Sri Srinivasa Perumal by going into the inner sanctum of the temple. It is done once a year and on 3rd Puratassi Sani. Devotees are to be in Hindu clothing and would not be allowed inside if they are  in improper attire.

​Darpanam which is  the rituals that we do for our ancestors is the technology we use to resolve our karmic debts in the areas of finance, health and relationships.

Be vegetarian that means no chicken mutton eggs or fish. Serve the less fortunate people (Example, Give a few Ringet to the old lady or old man selling tissues or buy a packet of rice for the man living on the streets) It doesn't have to be a lot of money but give without the thought of getting it back and just because you can and know that someday that could be you or your family and you would want others to help, feed the poor, animals like dogs, birds, cats, fish etc.

Today  September 17, 2016 is the beginning of a very auspicious month for Lord Vishnu, Puratassi month.
Today also the beginning of Mahalaya Paksha for 14 days , from September 17,2016 till September 30, 2016.

This period is very important, it is called Mahalaya Paksha where we do pitru yagna, ancestral worship.
 This period of time, all the ancestors who are connected through soul genes will come to your home and stay there for awhile and go back to Pitru loka on September 30,2016.
They come down and when they are welcomed in a proper manner, they will grant unlimited blessings, love and help to us.                                                                           
We and our ancestor are connected through the soul, it is soul genetics.
What do we need to do ?
1. Be vegetarian throughout the month.
2. Attend temples as much as possible.
3. Do darpanam everyday at home which takes 1 to 2 minutes only. On the Amavasai day 30 of September , you can engage a priest to do elaborate darpanam or go to temples where they conduct it. Darpanam is basically feeding our ancestor. check at the YouTube below
4. Do annatham on this particular day and feed the poor and animals too.
It is your duty and dharma to observe the darpanam as only though our parent and their parent and their parent and it continues, that have taken human birth and continue there journey.

Purnima or full moon is a very powerful day where the energy of the moon is very very high. Your brain is effected by the moon. Low tide- new moon or high tide-full moon  is due to the pulling effect of the moon. So the energy of the moon is very magnetic. That is why our mind becomes kind of unstable on these particular days purnima- full moon  and amavasai- new moon. Many accidents happen on this particular day. Many "mad" people become more mad on this days. More friction tends to happen within our relationships.
Our brain is broken into 2 parts , left brain and right brain. the left brain symbolizes the Sun and right brain symbolizes the Moon. Sun energy is consistent, precise  whereas the moon energy goes through phases. Sun is timelessness and moon is the time indicator . Moon decides the brain functions, controls our daily life everyday and every hour.

Pradosam is very auspicious day  for Lord Siva and grandly celebrated in Siva temples or where Sivalingam murthi is present.

It is a karma busting day where with intensive and sincere prayers and meditation we can resolve or reduce lots of our past karma. 

In a month there will be 2 pradosams and it falls on Trayodasi tithi. The peak time for pradosam is 1.5 hours before and 1.5 hours after sunset in the evening. That's the time the energy level or the vibration is very strong.

What do we need to do ?
1. Observe vegetarian diet throughout the day.
2. Chant Om Namasivaya 108 or 1008 times

4. Sing Siva puranam from Thiruvasagam as many times as possible. You can also sing other tirumurais too.

6.  Vilvam leaf are very auspicious for lord Siva. Ask the priest for vilvam leaf after the prayers. Take back home and keep in the shrine room. The energy can last as long as 6 months. Make it as a powder form and use it to put on sambrani. It removes the negative energies at home

the great Mahadeva Lord Ganesha is Vinayakar Chaturthi which falls on chaturthi tithi September 5, 2016. All around the in the temples and the homes, His "birthday" celebrated grandly.

Lord Ganesha, the great Mahadeva is an important deity and is worshiped by every Hindu in the world . He is an actual being where many have seem him and communicated with Him. His presence was felt by everyone in the world on September 21, 1995 where the Miracle Milk incident happened. Lord Ganesha is the gatekeeper and also the channel or gateway into spiritual unfoldment. He sits at the the base chakra Muladhara. He is known as Lord of Remover of obstacles where he removes obstacles through His goad and also hold
 obstacles through his noose.He helps to refined our karma so that we can more smoother living and unfoldment.  He is known as Lord of Categories where he governs the higher intellect mind into science and profound knowledge.
